Cosmic microwave background and large-scale structure constraints on a simple quintessential inflation model

چکیده
We derive constraints on a simple quintessential inflation model, based on a spontaneously broken Φ theory, imposed by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe three-year data (WMAP3) and by galaxy clustering results from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). We find that the scale of symmetry breaking must be larger than about 3 Planck masses in order for inflation to generate acceptable values of the scalar spectral index and of the tensor-to-scalar ratio. We also show that the resulting quintessence equation-of-state can evolve rapidly at recent times and hence can potentially be distinguished from a simple cosmological constant in this parameter regime.

Double Inflation in Supergravity and the Large Scale Structure
The cosmological implication of a double inflation model with hybrid + new inflations in supergravity is studied. The hybrid inflation drives an inflaton for new inflation close to the origin through supergravity effects and new inflation naturally occurs. If the total e-fold number of new inflation is smaller than ∼ 60, both inflations produce cosmologically relevant density fluctuations. Both...
متن کاملConstraining cosmic microwave background consistent primordial voids with cluster evolution
Using cosmological simulations, we make predictions for the distribution of clusters in a plausible non-Gaussian model where primordial voids nucleated during inflation act together with scale-invariant adiabatic Gaussian fluctuations as seeds for the formation of large-scale structure. The parameters of the void network are constrained by the cosmic microwave background (CMB) fluctuations and ...
متن کاملLow-scale Quintessential Inflation
In quintessential inflationary model, the same master field that drives inflation becomes, later on, the dynamical source of the (present) accelerated expansion. Quintessential inflationary models require a curvature scale at the end of inflation around 10MP in order to explain the large scale fluctuations observed in the microwave sky. If the curvature scale at the end of inflation is much sma...
متن کاملGeneralised Inflation with a Gravitational Wave Background
We propose a Λ-inflation model which explains a significant part of the COBE signal by primordial cosmic gravitational waves. The primordial density perturbations fulfill both the constraints of large-scale microwave background and galaxy cluster normalization. The model is tested against the galaxy cluster power spectrum and the high-multipole angular CMB anisotropy.
متن کاملCosmic microwave background theory.
A long-standing goal of theorists has been to constrain cosmological parameters that define the structure formation theory from cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy experiments and large-scale structure (LSS) observations. The status and future promise of this enterprise is described. Current band-powers in -space are consistent with a DeltaT flat in frequency and broadly follow inflati...
